NaNoWriMo

There. I've done it. I've signed up for NaNoWriMo, the “National” Novel Writing Month. I'll be writing a 50,000 word novel through November.

It's going to suck. I must keep telling myself that. I'll have to keep that terrible, terrible perfectionist inside me under control. Quantity, not quality. Editing comes later.

Writing nearly one thousand six hundred and sixty seven words each day is not going to be easy. I will need your support and encouragement. I will need a kick in the butt when I'm about to give up. You can see my progress on my profile page.

gaafheid! I'd offer editing/checking services, but apart from the fact that it might not be allowed, i don't think that would do any good, seeing my state-of-spelling ;)

anyway, good luck, and if you need some kicking.......:P

Amazing that you're going to do it, although I have to say I don't know if I will read it, because 50,000 words is not just a lot to write. It sounds like a great way to improve your writing skills. How are you going to start with the project?

As far as novels go, 50.000 words is actually not so much. I don't expect anyone to read it – in fact, I don't want anyone to read it until I am fairly happy about the manuscript myself.

I am currently making up the world, characters and plot. I hope to have a fairly detailed outline (say, a few pages) at the start of November.
